I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know everything about fashion. I had to Google what this type of dress is called, because I had no clue! The ‘double layered dress’ label is not consistently used, but a search for it on ShopStyle pulls up several similar results, so I’m going with it!
A double layered dress is a one piece dress that gives the illusion that you’re wearing a top and a skirt. I’ve seen them on several other people and I adore the look. I was so thrilled that Le Tote sent me this dress to wear because it is absolutely my kind of style. I’ve actually worn it twice – once to a Houston Fashion Bloggers event (as seen here) and again last night out to dinner with friends.
Speaking of last night, we took these pictures in a park on the way out to dinner. There were a TON of people exercising in the park and I felt like a total moron! It reminded me of the ‘fashion bloggers in the wild‘ thread on the GOMI forums. If you see someone comment on the thread that they spotted some nobody blogger in a Houston park taking pictures in a dress/heels while people ran laps around her, that was totally me. #awkward #nailedit
